Four presentations of the same 40 paintings. That is how MyPainting.nu is conceived. It is a contemporary exhibition with works by Luc Tuymans, Bernard Frize, JCJ Vanderheyden, Jan Andriesse, Kees Goudzwaard and Johan De Wilde, among many others. Their works will be present in Lokaal 01 from 19th April until 12th July 2009 but won't all be visible during the whole project. This exhibition involves the visitor. He needs to define his physical relation towards the presented non narrative works. Some inspiration will be provided : 4 times a different view on the paintings will be presented. The first of these 4 presentations will be from 19th April to 10th May. All 40 works, that were selected by Lokaal 01 i.c.w. Belgian painters Jean-Marie Bytebier and Kris Van Dessel will then be on show. After that, a presentation of a selection (óf this selection) will be shown by video expert Christophe Van Eecke (11/5-24/5), by curator-artist Jan Maarten Voskuil (7/6-21/6) and by the painter Olphaert den Otter (28/6-12/7). All these people also participate in the show with a painting.
